Soil Building & Potting Workshop
May 31, 2017 @ 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Build your own soil and pot a new plant friend. In this workshop, we’ll dig deep into the importance of soil, help you build your own and then use it to pot a new plant into one of our handmade ceramic planters.
We’ll break down soil into its elements and discuss the importance of matching your soil to your plant. We’ll take you step by step through building your own soil, discussing the ingredients and ratios that make up various soil recipes. You’ll go home with a newly potted plant and planter of your choice.
Choose from a selection of plants and our Cromo collection of stoneware planters handmade by local potter Jordan Colon (medium size offered with option to upgrade plant/planter size). We’ll take you through properly repotting your plant using the soil you’ve built. We’ll discuss plant care from the roots to the tips, and will answer any and all plant care questions.
You’ll leave with a brand new plant in a beautiful handmade stoneware pot, a selection of soil recipes, a whole new breadth of soil composition and plant care knowledge, plus a few extra gifts from the Tula team.
