Peperomia 'hope' is an easy, versatile tropical plant. Perfectly circular succulent leaves retain a lot of moisture, so watering isn't as frequently necessary as with other tropical plants. Give the plant a good amount of sun to quicken growth and watch vines cascade over the pot.
Peperomia 'hope' is native to the Amazon Rainforest in South America.
This Peperomia prefers 2-4 hours of direct light. Best grown in an East or West facing windowsills.
The Peperomia are very drought tolerant and can live through a bit of neglect. Water thoroughly when the soil is dry and let the excess drain out the bottom of the planter. If your Peperomia receives too little water the leaves will begin to wilt and leaves near the base can often turn a bright yellow.
This Peperomia grows in a vining fashion, so if and when the stems become long, they are easily propagated by stem cuttings. Simply place a cut stem with two nodes in a glass of water and wait for it to root. Change the water weekly and plant in a small container with soil once it has a healthy root system. Fertilize: In Spring and summer, fertilize once a month with an organic houseplant fertilizer.
