The Mytillocactus geometrizans is known for its brilliant blue-green color and branching, candelabra structure. Its blue coloration will become more saturated with the proper sunlight. Avoid touching the plant's tissue with your bare hands as you may leave behind an oily fingerprint.
Native to Central and Northern Mexico.
Myrtillocactus geometrizans requires at least 4-6 hours of direct sun to grow evenly and maintain it's brilliant blue.
Water the Myrtillocactus sparingly in winter months. During the grow season, water soil thoroughly, allowing it to dry completely in between waterings.
The Myrtillocactus is a fast growing cactus if provided ideal growth conditions. It can also be easily propagated by cuttings. Fertilize: Fertilize once every two weeks during the active growing season. This is limited to spring and summer in temperate climates.
Approx. 15-18" tall x 8" at the widest point of nursery pot. Every plant will vary in size, color and shape.
