Alocasia amazonica 'Polly'
Alocasia amazonica ‘Polly’ is a beautiful plant famous for the veined, geometric pattern on its large leaves. Relatively compact, it is the perfect Alocasia for plant owners without a ton of extra space.
Alocasia ‘Polly’ is a hybrid cultivated in a nursery. The Alocasia species is native to Southeast Asia.
Alocasia ‘Polly’ require at least a couple hours of direct sunlight, up to 4 hours.
Saturate the soil with water and let the top inch or so dry out in between. This plant can dry handle a little bit of dryness between waterings, particularly during cooler weather. When temperatures are very high the Alocasia should be watered more consistently or it will start to die back.
As this plant grows, lower leaves will die off. This is natural. Remove dead leaves with garden snips or a sharp, clean knife. Fertilize: Fertilize your Alocasia every two weeks with a balanced fertilizer, spring through fall.
