Xerosicyos danguyi is a dramatic, cascading succulent with long trails of perfectly round, gray-green leaves. Commonly called the Silver Dollar Vine, it can be found in its native habitat climbing and cascading over low shrubbery.
Native to Madagascar.
Xerosicyos danguyi love plenty of bright, indirect light, with a few hours of direct sunlight. Provide eastern or western exposure, or pull this plant a few feet away from a south-facing window.
Water once the soil dries completely. Make sure to drench the soil thoroughly until water is dripping from the bottom of the plant. Overwatering could lead to leaf drop or root rot. Always error on the side of underwatering.
Xerosicyos danguyi is known as a slow grower, but given a good amount of sun it can grow very quickly. Use a trellis to form this vining plant into different shapes. Repot every two or three years, moving it to a pot just 2 inches wider. Fertilize: Xerosicyos danguyi do not require fertilizer though it can be added to give container grown plants a boost or to supplement poor soil.
4" grow pot. Plant is approx. 6-12" long x 7" at the widest point. Every plant will vary in size, color and shape.
