East Williamsburg

Our residential client approached Tula House to tranform their backyard, which was divided equally between dirt and paved portions.

Tula House started clearing the backyard in November of 2021. Overgrown with ivy and virginia creeper the dirt portion required an extensive clearing and soil ammendment to rebuild its structure.

In April of 2022 the garden was reapproached. Further clearing and weeding was completed and the dirt portion was tilled and prepped for bedding and pavers.

For the garden design, we focused on a mix of perrenials and evergreens. Ensuring we added a few style and specie nods to the client’s South of France origins. The outcome transformed the backyard from a overgrown weed jungle, to a serene space for sitting, walking, viewing, as well as herb and flower cutting.
