    Sansevieria cylindrica 'Boncel'

    Sansevieria cylindrica 'Boncel' is a fan-shaped Sansevieria species that grows spikes from the central point of the plant. This Sansevieria is native to Angola. The boncel prefers bright sun, warm temperatures, and low humidity.

    Scindapsus Pictus

    Satin Pothos are native to Southeast Asia to the western Pacific. These vining, climbing plants are notable for their fuzzy, heart-shaped leaves and tight growing habit. They are often compared visually and in care requirements to their Araceae family member the Golden Pothos, which is one of the most popular houseplants in North America. Like the Golden Pothos, Scindapsus Pictus houseplants make great specimens for hanging baskets or trained on moss poles.

    Senecio rowleyanus

    Senecio rowleyanus is a waterfalling, cascading succulent from South Africa that looks like an overflowing jewelry box. With more common names than you can count, this plant is known for its iconic spherical leaves that look like green peas threaded together on a necklace. When cultivated on a sunny balcony or in a south-facing window, this plant will grow rapidly to create a waterfall of vegetation up to three feet long.

    Senecio radicans

    Senecio radicans is a dramatic, cascading succulent with long trails of crescent-shaped leaves. Native to the Cape Province of South Africa, this plant can be found trailing across arid sandy ground and dangling off of coastal cliffsides. In late winter or early spring, expect flourishing plants to blossom with tiny, cinnamon-scented flowers.

    Senecio herreianus

    Senecio herreianus is a cascading succulent with long trails of oval leaves. The stripped variegation as well as the red blush some leaves take on has given it the nickname ‘string of watermelons.’ Native to southern Namibia and northwestern South Africa, this plant can be found trailing across arid sandy ground and dangling off of coastal cliffsides. In late winter or early spring, expect flourishing plants to blossom with elongated pink and white flower clusters.

  6. Xerosicyos danguyi, or Silver Dollar Vine, for sale at Tula Plants & Design.

    Xerosicyos danguyi

    Xerosicyos danguyi is native to West and South-West Madagascar. This plant is a climbing succulent vine with cylindrical stems and thick, succulent, flattened round silvery-green leaves (the leaf shape and size gives this plant its common name) and is a relative to the Cucumber family. This plant climbs using the same kind of delicate tendrils to grip onto a support structure. The name Xerosicyos means dry cucumber. Although a climber, the Silver Dollar Vine forms a loose scrambling kind of shrub over time. It also produces a small caudex at the base. This is one of three in the species.
