Ficus lyrata
The Ficus lyrata—more commonly known as the fiddle leaf fig—grows upright with large, glossy, violin-shaped leaves. In the wild, Ficus Lyrata grows tall beneath the rainforest canopy, reaching for bits of sunlight and loving the warm, humid air.
The lyrata Loves bright, indirect light. A few feet from a south, or west-facing window, would be perfect. Avoid harsh, direct sun that can scorch those dramatic leaves. Let the top 2–3 inches of soil dry out between waterings. Less is more here—overwatering is the fast track to a fussy fig. Appreciates extra moisture in the air. Regular misting or a nearby humidifier helps mimic its rainforest roots.
And remember to rotate every few weeks for even growth. Wipe leaves with a damp cloth to keep them glossy and dust-free.
