Tradescantia albiflora ‘Nanouk’ is a trailing perennial beloved for its green and purple variegation with violet leaf undersides. A beautiful, easy care, easy-to-propagate plant, Nanouk will bring a splash of color to your tropical collection.
Tradescantia originate from Central Mexico, but this variety was developed in a nursery in the Netherlands in 2012.
The Nanouk prefers a mix of direct to indirect sun. Ensure it receives at least 2-3 hours of direct sun to maintain the purple variegation and avoid leggy growth.
Water the tradescantia sparingly in winter months. During the grow season, water soil thoroughly, allowing it to dry completely in between waterings.
The tradescantia is a fast growing perennial if provided ideal growth conditions. It can also be easily propagated by cuttings. Fertilize: Fertilize once every two weeks during the active growing season. This is limited to spring and summer in temperate climates.
Approx. 6-8" long x 5-6" at the widest point of nursery pot. Every plant will vary in size, color and shape.
