Brooklyn Tower: Exterior Design
Set against the monumental stone façade of the historic Dime Savings Bank, our outdoor planting design brings softness, scale, and natural texture to The Brooklyn Tower’s streetscape. The installation complements the building’s architectural character while creating a warmer, more welcoming experience at street level.
Large magnolia trees anchor the installation, creating a strong sense of scale while softening the architecture around the entrances. Layered evergreen shrubs and sculptural plantings add variation in height, form, and texture, giving the exterior a lush but carefully composed feel throughout the year.
The planters were selected in subtle, natural tones that complement the limestone, bronze, and dark metal details of the building. Arranged along the façade and entryways, the plantings help define the arrival experience and make the streetscape feel more welcoming, balanced, and connected to the surrounding neighborhood.
