Toky X Tula House Tomodachi Sofubi

We’ve collaborated with our friends at TOKY to reimagine their beloved Tomodachi First Machine figure in true New York style. Finished in Tula House blue and yellow, with NYC proudly stamped on its back. Designed in Brooklyn and produced in Japan, this limited-edition TOMODACHI celebrates the shared love of plants, design, and creativity that connects our worlds.

Sofubi is short for “soft vinyl,” referring to a traditional Japanese method of hand-casting collectible figures from soft PVC. Originating in the 1960s toy and kaiju culture, sofubi are prized for their hand-sculpted forms, small-batch production, and painterly finishes — giving each piece a distinct, artful character that blurs the line between toy and sculpture.
