    Caralluma hesperidum is a succulent native to moroccan dry regions, from the coast to the deep inland. The stems have spiney protuberances that are light green or greyish with reddish brown spots and grow by spreading in clumps.

    Calathea ornata is a regal tropical plant native to the rainforests of South America. Its delicate oval leaves with angular, colorful stripes give this plant a weightless appearance. A member of the prayer plant family, leaves will fold upwards and close together at nighttime to prevent water loss.

    Adiantum tenerum

    Brittle maidenhair ferns are native to the forests of southern North America, Central and South America along with parts of the West Indies. In the wild they grow on the edges of woodlands and in shady rock crevices or along the sides of streams. At home these ferns do best in moist, organically rich soil, very high humidity and warm temperatures. The genera, Adiantum comes from the Greek word adiantos meaning “unwetted”, and refers to the plants water repellent foliage. This plant spreads by creeping, branching rhizomes forming large colonies over time.

    Aloe humilis is a low-growing, clustering succulent originating from South Africa. It grows low to the ground and spreads, making it a choice plant for ground cover. Short clusters of green heads are spiked on all sides. However, this plant’s most surprising aspect takes place when it flowers, as stalks much taller and bigger than would otherwise be expected spring forth with bright orange blossoms, dwarfing the original plant.
