Wieden+Kennedy
Our collaboration with the globally recognized advertising agency, Wieden+Kennedy, began with their vision: transform a hard-edged, tech-driven workspace into something lush, soft, and alive. With expansive windows framing the SOHO cityscape, their space was ideal for creating a juxtaposition between steel and greenery.
Together, we took an urban jungle approach. We wanted more than just a few well-placed plants — we were after volume. The goal was to imbue all three floors with a feeling of escape and renewal. Many employees spend long hours here, so the plants needed to soften the hard edges of screen time and workaday bustle.
The aesthetic quickly became “more is more.” To that end, we sourced hundreds of tropical plants with dramatic silhouettes and abundant foliage. Statement plants like Philodendron selloum ‘Hope’, Philodendron cordatum, and sculptural Strelitzia reginae (a.k.a. Bird of Paradise) were incorporated generously in the design. These plants aren’t just decorative; they break up the site’s meeting spaces and cubicles to create an organic softness.
The centerpiece of the project is the impressive 12-foot green wall that wows employees and visitors the moment they step out of the elevator. We created additional drama with six double-trough hanging planters and a series of custom planter pendants. With these elements stretching vertically through the space, every floor is connected by a continuous thread of greenery.
For Wieden+Kennedy, our plants are more than just design choices. They are now part of their culture, anchoring their work environment in something both vibrant and calming.
