Pachira Aquatica "Money Tree'
Money Tree is a lush, sculptural tropical plant with bright green leaves and a sturdy trunk that gives it an easy architectural presence in the home. Native to the tropical regions of Central and South America, it became widely known as the “Money Tree” in Taiwan in the 1980s, where it has been associated with good fortune, wealth, and prosperity.
Money Trees grow best in very bright, indirect light, though they can tolerate lower light conditions. In lower light, growth will be slower and the plant may produce fewer new leaves. Water when the soil has dried about halfway to completely dry, then give it a thorough soak and allow excess water to drain. The plant stores some water in its roots and trunk, but it should not sit dry for too long or remain soggy.
