Spathiphyllum Wallisii 'Peace Lily'
Spathiphyllum wallisii, commonly known as the Peace Lily, is a lush tropical houseplant loved for its deep green leaves and elegant white blooms. Its soft, upright shape brings a calm, clean feeling to the home, making it a classic choice for shelves, corners, offices, and lower-light rooms.
Native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, Peace Lilies grow along the forest floor where light is filtered and the soil stays lightly moist. Indoors, they do best in medium to bright, indirect light, but can tolerate lower light conditions. More light will encourage fuller growth and more frequent blooming, while direct sun can burn the leaves.
Water when the soil has dried about halfway down, then water thoroughly and allow excess water to drain. Peace Lilies like consistent moisture, but should never sit soggy. If the plant gets too dry, the leaves will dramatically droop, but they usually perk back up after a good watering.
This plant is toxic to pets if ingested.
