Kleinia stapeliiformis is a unique succulent prized for it's attractive surface pattern. It is commonly referred to as the Pickle plant due to its pattern and shape that resemble a pickle. With more sun, the Kleinia will 'blush' and flower large red, pom-pom like flowers.
Native to South Africa.
Kleinia require at least 3 - 5 hours of full sun, daily. Sun that is too intense can cause surface to burn.
Water Kleinia sparingly in winter months. During the grow season, water soil thoroughly, allowing it to dry completely in between waterings.
Kleinia tend to grow long and can become floppy over time. They can be easily propagated by stem cuttings in early spring. Cut below the softest part of the succulent and allow cut end to callous before planting into soil.Fertilize: Fertilize once every two weeks during the active growing season. This is limited to spring and summer in temperate climates.
Small measures 4" diameter grow pot. Every plant will vary in size, color and shape.
